Low in the Sky
Pictures in December
As happens every year, the sun is now setting at 4:30. And just like every other year, I forgot what it feels like. Thinking to myself at 2:30 that I have plenty of daylight left to do something productive, not the case. This lack of awareness feels out of character, but somehow these short days really sneak up on you. I inevitably make fewer pictures in the winter, whether it’s the light, or maybe I’m just sleeping a lot more. I wanted to look through and see what pictures I have made on these short days. I found myself chasing the sun at the end of the day, proof of my forgetfulness, and sort of grasping for something before it’s too dark. There’s also that winter color that I love, a lot more blue and purple tones in the evening, and that warm harsh yellow sun during the day. If I’m being honest, the winter affords me time where I feel more relaxed and comforted in doing less, a lot of times I prefer to just observe and not take a picture and enjoy the soft hues as the sun fades. Here’s what I found - Enjoy : ) XO RUBY
