It’s that time of year where here in Minnesota the State Fair ends on Labor Day and the next day the temperature drops 30 degrees. It always leads me to reflect, did I do anything this summer? Is the point of summer to do nothing? Luckily my habitual photographing practice reminds me I did do SOME things even if they were mostly leisurely. I’ve been attempting to be relatively reclusive for a social person such as myself, can be difficult but a good challenge(Yet Here I am). It seems harder and harder to shut out the constant barrage of messages, notifications, stimuli, etc. Gives me a ton of anxiety to feel compelled to be available all the time.
My biggest solace is just going out into the world and seeing what the hell is going on around me. I find the world infinitely exciting and want to try and revel in it, here are some of this summer’s revelations.
Enjoy - XO RUBY :)
So much good stuff here, Eric. That pontoon in the tree! Love how you see, man. I hope you're well.
No joke about the temperature drop. Wow, like an anvil through acoustic tiles.
